Wild Turkey Farm

A Love of Horses

In 1989, Barbara Ellison established Wild Turkey Farm in the lush, pristine hills of Woodside, California. Her life long love of horses and sport horse competition led to the acquisition of Holsteiner superstar Liocalyon in 1996, and today, the farm boasts four stallions, ten broodmares, multiple young offspring and dozens of sport horses. Our first of five foals due this Spring is now on the ground—a gorgeous chestnut filly with her daddy’s blaze (Chesapeake x Qaja).

A Passion for Quality

A love of horses and a passion for quality has proven to be our formula for success. Our trainers, managers, consultants and veterinarians are committed to bringing superior service on every level to the Warmblood breeding community, including modern technologies in fresh and frozen semen protocols.

Grand Prix trainer Mandy Porter joined the farm in 2002.
