An Impressive American Debut

LaMarque, imported from Germany in June, 2007, arrived with a splash, earning perfect 10s in Free Jumping at the AHHA Approvals in October. With a combined score of 48 (canter: 8, performance potential: 8.85, rideablility: 8.75), LaMarque went on to place third in the Five-Year-Old Young Jumper Classic at the Oaks Blenheim Summer Classic. This young stallion is easy to work around, and will concentrate on his show jumping career in 2008.

Sire: Lansing: International Grand Prix Champion

LaMarque’s sire is the amazing Lansing, a German producer of approved stallions, state premium mares and premium foals. As a five-year-old, Lansing won the German National Showjumping Championships, a brilliant illustration of his impeccable lineage that includes Grandsire Landgraf I and Great-Grandsire Ladykiller. Lansing is a beautiful grey stallion with good movement and jumping ability. He forwards these abilities to his offspring.

Dam: Goldkueste (by Lord Calando)

The good mare Goldkeuste was an international Grand Prix Jumper with Leo Philliparets. Her Grandsire, Lord Calando is by Holsteiner foundation sire Lord. Lord Calando is the sire of Luz Z, who, under Jerry Smit, participated in the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney and won the Pulsar Crown in Valkensawaard and Cannes. His winnings top one million euros. Lord Calando is out of Perra, dam of Carthago Z.

Grandson of Landgraf I

Landgraf I, a son of Ladykiller, is a premium sire of jumping horses. The list is long: Freestyle won the Aachen Grand Prix, Libero won the Dutch National title 5 times and the 1994 World Cup. There’s also dressage talent Loutano and champion producer Linaro. Landgraf I dominates the Holsteiner Stud book with 60 Colts and 340 Broodmares (260 are in the Head Stud Book and 70 have been awarded State Premium).

Grand Dam Perra (also dam of Carthago Z)

Perra is a granddaughter of Lord (by the legendary Ladykiller) who produced the international show jumper, Livius, ridden by Peter Luther. Together they won team medals at the 1981 European Championships, World Championships in 1982 and the 1984 Olympic Games. Lord has sired more than 60 stallions and his progeny winnings top three million euros.
